At Everglades University, we want to ensure that all our students get the most out of our degree programs. To do this, we offer a set of procedures before you even begin school so you have a reasonable expectation as to what it will take to complete your chosen degree. First and foremost, all applicants must demonstrate that they have the ability and the motivation to succeed, but going a bit deeper, these are our admissions procedures.

Complete an Online Application

This is the first, and one of the most important, steps for admission into Everglades University. All applicants, no matter if you choose to complete your studies online or on campus, must submit an online application. This application should be completed and submitted long before the date they want to start school as the review process can take time. Everglades accepts students on a rolling admissions basis and applications will be notified whether they are accepted or rejected into the university.

Provide Verification of Studies

Along with your application, students must also provide the university with verification of graduation. If you are applying for undergraduate studies, this is usually in the form of a high school transcript. If you are applying for graduate studies, you will need verification of your graduation from an accredited college, university, or comparable foreign institution.

Pay the Application Fee

Mostly all university applications come with a fee. At Everglades University, we require every student, no matter their education level to pay a fifty-dollar application fee. This fee is non-refundable.

Complete Specific Testing

Everglades University requires all students to take either the SAT or ACT exam. To be considered for acceptance, students must receive a combined score of 1200 on the SAT or a composite score of 17 on the ACT. If neither of these tests were taken, the university gives students the option of taking the Everglades University entrance exam and requires a minimum score of 15. If you are applying to Everglades with an earned college degree, we do not require an entrance exam.

For graduate students, you must complete an application, have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 at the baccalaureate level or a 3.0 at the master’s level. A GMAT score may also be required, along with the completion of any necessary prerequisite courses.

If you are a foreign or homeschooled student, please speak with an admissions counselor to learn more about what is required for you specifically. Give us a call at 888.854.8308 or visit our admissions page to learn more.
