Undergraduate Degree Programs

We offer undergraduate degrees in Alternative and Renewable Energy Management, Environmental Policy and Management, Construction Management, Land and Energy Management, Surveying Management for Construction and Roadway, International Business, Alternative Medicine, Aviation/Aerospace, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, and Crisis & Disaster Management. In addition, we offer graduate degrees in Public Health Administration, Business Administration, Aviation Science, and Entrepreneurship. Concentrations are available.

Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Alternative Medicine – Attaining a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Alternative Medicine prepares a student to embark on a career in the alternative medicine environment. Integrating a holistic approach into careers relating to healthcare, sports, rehabilitation, management, spas, leisure and the beauty industries, allows Alternative Medicine students a wide range of business opportunities. Additionally, completing the curriculum allows students to gain knowledge that will equip them for entry-level careers in a variety of alternative medicine environment such as chiropractic, acupuncture, physical therapy, rehabilitation, hospitals, wellness centers, and spas.

By incorporating several disciplines of study such as physical medicine, integrative wellness techniques, and nutrition, the Alternative Medicine program allows students to examine and connect the integration of the mind, body, and spirit within the healthcare business. With courses such as Traditional Chinese Medicine and Principles of Acupuncture, a major in Alternative Medicine provides students with a thorough understanding of homeopathic remedies.

Program Outline: Students entering the Alternative Medicine program with previous vocational or technical training, or with an Associate’s Degree, will be trained for further advancement in the alternative medicine environment.

To receive a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Alternative Medicine, students must complete 123 credits. The length of the program is approximately 41 months, however, the length of the course may vary if a student transfers in credits. This degree requires no Externship/Internship and no licensing or certifications will be awarded.

 

Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Alternative and Renewable Energy Management – The Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Alternative and Renewable Energy Management concentrates on the management skills and business knowledge needed for the frequently changing environment of the energy industry in construction management. With a focus on energy specific technical and occupational subjects, such as alternative and renewable energy management, energy storage, and safety in construction, a major in Alternative and Renewable Energy prepares a student for a productive career in the alternative energy field, in an attempt to create a more sustainable environment. Additionally, courses in wind, solar, and geothermal energy provide students with a thorough understanding of current and upcoming renewable energy strategies.

A major in Alternative and Renewable Energy Management offers students an all-encompassing knowledge of the sustainable energies industry, combined with the skills necessary to enter a business or management position. Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Construction Management –  A degree in Construction Management focuses on the management skills and business knowledge required for the frequently evolving environment of the construction industry. Staying true to Everglades University’s promise to promote sustainability, a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Construction Management will provide classes in OSHA Standards, Managing a Construction Business, and LEED Certification and Green Sustainability courses. This degree program prepares graduates to sit for the LEED Green Associates exam in order to become a Certified LEED Green Associate. Knowledge from these courses provides management skills and construction industry specific technical and occupational subjects, such as construction planning, design, and safety.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Surveying Management (For Construction and Roadway) – A Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Surveying Management concentrates on the management skills and business knowledge required to embark on a career within the surveying management field. This degree allows students to focus on construction industry specific technical and occupational subjects, such as surveying for route and boundary, platting, and geotechnical technology. With courses such as Topographical Surveys and Mapping, as well as Highway Platting Geotechnical Technology, this degree program prepares graduates for a productive career in the surveying industry as a manager or supervisor. The Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Surveying Management provides students with a broad-based knowledge of the surveying and construction industry combined with a solid general education and extensive training in business and management applications as well as law, regulations, planning, design, theory and methods used in the surveying field.

Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Aviation/Aerospace – Everglades University designed major courses such that they allow students the opportunity to acquire a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Aviation or Aerospace that can include an area of concentration. Our program provides an aviation professional with extensive knowledge to complement their aviation technical background. Whether it is in Air Traffic Control, Aviation Maintenance, Flight Operations, Dispatch Operations through verified FAA Certifications or Military Aviation Operations, the Aviation/Aerospace program at Everglades provides a solid general education combined with the flexibility for coursework covering a wide range of specific aviation courses and a strong line-up of management courses. The Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Aviation/Aerospace combines communication, analytical and technical skills used in the aviation/aerospace industry, as well as a general education and a concentration program that allows them to gain knowledge on a specific selected area.

Individuals not holding FAA Certifications will be able to complete the program with required coursework. Concentration areas include aviation safety, flight operations, management, aviation maintenance management, aviation operations management, or security.

 

Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Crisis and Disaster Management –  A Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Crisis and Disaster Management emphasizes management skills, business knowledge and associated comprehension involved in planning, management, relief, and recovery from public crises and disasters. With courses in Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Operation and Design, as well as Terrorism and Homeland Security, this degree provides students with knowledge to minimize the effect of, as well as successfully prepare for, both natural and man-made disasters. The Crisis and Disaster Management program focuses on communication skills, management skills, critical thinking, planning and response associated with public emergencies, disasters, and catastrophes. Students partaking in this program will be prepared for productive management careers in the crisis and disaster management environment.

Bachelor of Science Degree in International Business – The Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in International Business focuses on a variety of general and international business principles, in which students can use analytical, technical and critical thinking skills to solve problems in an ethical manner, and communicate effectively in the international business environment. With courses such as Putting Global Strategies into Action and Politics in International Business, this degree provides students with an all-encompassing view of the purpose and operations of business entities from a financial, economics, marketing and management perspective. The Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in International Business provides instruction in relevant business skills, as well as provides necessary training in computer and software applications. This area of study provides students with the skills required for managerial employment positions such as managers, assistant managers, supervisors, and other related administrative assignments in the business environment.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration – The Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Business Administration seeks to provide students with a well-rounded view of the purpose and operations of business entities from a financial, economics, marketing and management perspective combined with a solid general education foundation. Graduates will be able to understand a variety of general business principles, to use analytical, technical and critical thinking skills to solve problems in an ethical manner, and to communicate effectively in the business environment. The Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Business Administration provides instruction in management skills. Students in this program will use a computer and software applications necessary in a business environment. This program of study will prepare graduates for managerial employment positions such as managers, assistant managers, supervisors, and other related administrative assignments in the business environment. The Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Business Administration provides instruction in relevant business skills. Students in this program will use a computer and software applications typically used in a business environment. This program of study will prepare graduates for managerial employment positions such as managers, assistant managers, supervisors, and other related administrative assignments in the business environment.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Policy and Management – A Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Environmental Policy and Management provides students with management skills and business knowledge required to enter government and environmentally related professions. With programs focusing on Justice and Sustainability, as well U.S. Environmental Policy and Management, the Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Environmental Policy and Management provides general knowledge on environmental policy, as well as specific technical and occupational subjects, such as the impact of industrialization on the environment and environmental technology and management. Relating back to Everglades University’s role in implementing global sustainability, emphasis is placed on communication skills, business and management skills, critical thinking, sustainability, and environmental regulations and policies the several emerging fields of study, including global environmental change, environmental planning, and environmental sustainability.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Land and Energy Management – A Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Land and Energy Management provides students with management skills and business knowledge required to enter professions involved in land and mineral rights acquisition for fossil fuel and renewable energy resource development. This degree focuses on land and energy specific technical and occupational subjects, such as land use planning, regulations, and sustainable energy components. With classes in Wind, Solar, and Geothermal energy, as well as The Science of Persuasion and Negotiation, this degree prepares graduates for a productive career in the land and energy industry as a manager. With an emphasis on the negotiations in the land-work and energy industries, combined with a general education foundation and business and management applications, students enrolled in this program will be prepared for productive management careers in the land and energy environment.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management – The Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Hospitality Management teaches students the purpose and operations of the service and hospitality management entities from a financial, economics, marketing and management perspective combined with a solid general education foundation. With specialization in Front of the House, or Fundamentals of the Service Industry, students are provided with information regarding hospitality management principles, as well as the skills needs to use analytical, technical and critical thinking in order to solve problems in an ethical manner, and to communicate effectively in the business environment. Students in this program are also provided with the tools necessary to understand and utilize computer and software applications typically used in the hospitality management environment. This program of study will prepare students for managerial employment positions such as managers, assistant managers, supervisors, and other related administrative assignments in the service and hospitality management environments.
