These awards and recognition’s are not easy to come by, but Everglades University is consistently honored to continually be recognized for their efforts to higher education. Each of these awards have their own criteria, but to be named one of the best regional colleges in the South is due to many qualities, including:

Academic History

Everglades University began as American Flyers College in 1990 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 1997, the campus moved to Pompano Air Park and became Everglades College. With the move, they also added a Bachelor of Science Degree with majors in Business Administration, Information Tech, Applied Management, Aviation Management and Professional Aviation.

These degree programs put Everglades on the map, and not long after, they became one of the first colleges in America to offer a Bachelor of Science with a major in Alternative Medicine. As they continued to add new programs, Everglades University began to expand, opening campuses all across the state of Florida and introducing new degree programs to current and prospective students.

 Degree Programs

Today, Everglades University offers a wide variety of degree programs, all focused on careers and jobs that are needed in today’s workforce. Offered online and on campus, students are able to choose from everything from alternative and renewable energy management degrees to construction management and international business.

The wide span of degree options is a big reason why Everglades is included on the list of best colleges. Students are able to find their passion and succeed in it through the interactive degree programs offered at Everglades University.
